  • "Mrs. Henrietta L Meals, Widow of Frederick G. Meals , died on last Wednesday at their home on Buford Avenue, Gettysburg, aged 78 years 8 months & 18 days.  Her maiden name was Slentz, the youngest daughter of Mr and Mrs John Slentz of this place and the last of 11 children.  The funeral was on Friday, services by Rev J.B. Baker and interment in Evergreen Cemetery,   Gettysburg.  She leaves one son, John Harry Meals of Chambersburg, Mrs. O. C. Reinecke of Jersey City, Mrs Charles Merrilatt of Washington, D.C, Mrs J.H. Schoeff of Asheville, NC, Mrs Elmer E Slaybaugh and Miss Edna Meals of Gettysburg.²
