One of the oldest settlers in Lancaster Co., Pa., and is mentioned as early  as 1709 in some sources. However, his great grandaughter, in her imperfect but informative ascendancy report wrote μ My great grandmother, the wife of Christian Barr, was Susan Breneman, the daughter of Melchoir Breneman (2nd), grandson of Melchoir Breneman, the pioneer, who came to America .
Early in the fall of 1717, with the Leamans, Swarrs, etc. On September 7, of this year, he took out a warrant for five-hundred acres of land due South from Lancaster, upon the banks of Mill Creek. He, also, was a clergyman. On December 3, 1728, he purchased seven hundred additional acres of land from Martha Bizaillon, situated on the Western boundary of the Lefort Logan tract.ξ7

His name was spelled Preniman if the father of the Christian Preniman of  the Naturalization record in which is also John Swope son of Yost[ along with sons christopher and Christian Preniman]

μMelchior BRENNEMAN: born in Aug 1718 in Lancaster Co., Pa.; died on 19 Apr 1794 in Lancaster Co., Pa. Died on 19 Apr 1794
in Lancaster Co., Pa. Melchior Brenneman Jr was born on the old homestead farm of his father near New Danville, Lancaster Co.,
Pa., in August 1718, and died at the same place, Apr. 19, 1794. He long survived his elder brothers, all of whom died thirty
years or more before him. He married Ann Good, b. in 1722, d. in 1800, aged 78 years 3 mos. and 10 days. She was a dtr. of
Jacob Good of Connestoga, who was a son of Peter Good, an immigrant to Lancaster County in 1715.

Melchior, Jr., and wife had 13 children, of whom eleven survived them: Peter, Melchior, Abraham, Isaac, Margaret, Rudolph,
David, Elizabeth, Jacob, Eve, Ann, John, and Henry. The parents are buried at New Danville Mennonite Church, their graves

 On the 24th day of December, 1785, John Haldeman and John Brenneman, the executors of John Stehman, deceased, sold three hundred and thirty-six acres of land to Herman Long, being the same land which Christian Breneman and Susannah conveyed to their son-in-law, John Stehman, May 7, 1751. This land extended along the Maytown and Bainbridge road. Herman Long died in 1810, and left the following children, viz.: John, Christian, Herman, Abraham, Joseph, Jacob, Benjamin, Ann, and Elizabeth.25
