The two houses that are studied Within the Vines encompass the Howard and Allied Families and the Swope and Allied Families joined in matrimony in Gettysburg, Adams County, Pennsylvania in the 1940s. Although the Swope and Allied lines involve only Pennsylvania and a few persons of Maryland who had ties with Pennsylvania, the Howard  Allied lines involve Penna, and all other states minus [currently] Maryland.
