ìThomas Davis received a warrant for 140 acres in Earle Township, Lancaster county, 17 May 1735. he sold his right 24 July 1736 to Adam Painter, who obtained a new warrant 28 may 1746, the land adjoining Philip Sheaffer, Samuel Evans, Simeon King, and Hans Graffe. Painter, by name of Bender, died and left a will dated 13 November 1744. In it he left one third to hiw widow Fronica and two-thirds to five children John, Adam, David, Elizabeth and Maria Bender. John, the eldest son, was given the land, provided he paid the others. Adam and Elizabeth Bender died as minors without issue. John obtained a release from John Bear, a guardian of David Bender, and Adam Miller, husband of Maria Bender. He obtained a patent 13 July 1761. Recorded 15 July 1761. 9AA-1:461) ì5

online ancestors to be the Hans Adam Bender found in the Oaths of Allegiance
for those on boord the Ship Dragon [Rotterdam via Plymouth to Philadelphia.
Qualified September 30, 1732. PORT OF PHILADELPHIA ] . There is, also from
the lists of that boat a Georg Adam Bender found on the Captain's list
[source states "(these are usually the most inaccurate of the three)" for
the same boat while Hans Adam Bender is missing from that list presenting
then some confusion as to the actual name of the traveller in full. All
of these lists, including the abjuration from the Pope list in which he
does not appear relevant can be found at Immigrant Ships Transcribers
