According to Lishyís records, Peter was Hans Peter and a son of Johannes

(3)John Peter Bentz b. in W. Manchester Twp. September 8,1758 and died in Conewago Twp. May 6,1823. He married Anna Maria Humerichouse, daughter of John and Barbara Humerichouse, of Manchester Twp., York Co., Pa, where she was born August 13,1761. She died August 7,1842. They are both buried in the old cemetery at Quickelís Church in Conewago Twp.,York Co., Pa. He served as a Private in the American Revolution, in Capt. Simon Copenheaverís
Company,
" They had issue as follows" : MY NOTATIONS to Hamme's work are ITALISIZED AND IN RED
He is found in baptismal records of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church within Evidences of The Pentz/ Bence Family of York County, as "Peter son of Peter and Anna Maria b 24 Mar 1784" the names of the parents being entirely similar to like entries in other church records for the siblings here given. But his birthdate is too close to his sister Catharine's if he is correctly identified,- there iseither an error in his or her birth date, or his inclusion as a child in this family bundle is entirely erroneous . Peter is NOT mentioned in orphan's dockets where his possible siblings are identified. Peter is Not in 1800 census if census is correctly reflecting THIS family; If he is of this family he died young. No further info.]

and without another couple complicating the possiblility with dual entries
for a couple Bentz with these names within the broad spectrum Bentz study
