Within the Vines is linked from Cynthia
Swope's Homepage
Within The Vines is a Geneological study of two
Alpha Surname groups [The Howard and Allied and the Swope
and Allied ancestral Groups] divided into:
Pages devoted to the Study of Our Ancestors of America
of both groups [Our American Immigrants] and
Pages devoted to the Study of Our Ancestors of Europe
of both groups [Our Europeans]
To Within the Vines Homepage
1a ) OUR EUROPEANS
Provides Identification of the Nations of Origin for
our American Immigrants with relevant national history leading to
emmigration, maps of regional residence of the last of each surname line
known present in those nations, Surname specific studies, the advancing
European ascendancy of our American Immigrants involving surnames direct
to us but which are not part of Our American
Immigrant Surname groups, and the gargantuan
study of our Peers and Royals Within the Vines relevant to both the American
Howard Allied ascendancy via Logan married to Dundas in Europe and
the American Swope Allied ascendancy via McCurdy married to Stewart
in Europe.

1b ) OUR AMERICAN IMMIGRANTS
Our American Immigrants provides geneological study
of all direct line Americans, their spouses, their children and the
children's own spouses and children. Our American Immigrants are
organized in several different ways but all link to the individual
American geneology study pages described.
All direct line American Residents are organized
and belong to either
the Howard Aligned Surame Group or
the Swope Aligned Surname Group
Together these groups form all direct line American residents
in both Alpha Surname Groups,
There are pages where these Alpha Surname Groups mesh
one to the other geneologically [towards the present day] or in terms of
Historical Context relevant to the Surname groups through time .

)HISTORICAL PAGES WITHIN THE VINES
Within the Vines seeks to provide an understanding of
the regions and history experienced by each direct forebear and immigrant
group found in the geneology portion of the site. Historical
Pages are numerous and within each of them are links
to the surnames , individuals and immigrant groups
involved in the historical text and / or affected by the historical contexts.
Generally these pages are State and/ or County specific. Sometimes they
are otherwise specific, but for purposes of organization are found
within the state specific indexes.
There are pages relevant to an immigrant group
defined by Country of Origin [ie The relationship between the Scotch Irish
and Germans of Penna], Religion [ie Mennonite, Lutheran, Reformed , Quaker,
Presbyterian ], Settlement experience [ie the Manors of Pennsylvania,
York town Penna and the York they knew ], Military History
[ie Revolutionary Service, Civil War Service, World War Service ] or specific
characteristic [ie Slave Holding] . Historical pages also include descriptions
of the regions involved at time of contact and immediately after, and so
involve pages devoted to the Native Americans known to our Forebears.
In some instances the native Americans played such a crucial role to individuals
in our pages as to demand in depth study, as in the Powhatan Confederacy
pages relevant to our Jamestown Virginia Woodson line in the Howard and
Allied Study.
Because of the massive number of pages involved in the above
described effort and the fluid movement within the pages allowing
one to too easily get lost on a tangent [as reported by the author's editor
J D Swope, II] all historical pages have been indexed.
